Alfredo Lezama

Mr. Lezama has been a resident of the Village of Elmsford for 9 years. He is the proud parent of two children currently attending school in our district. Mr. Lezama is a Mechanical Engineer graduated from Simon Bolivar University in Caracas –Venezuela and he has dedicated his entire life to the car business in general. Alfredo Came to the United States in 2008 with Honda of North America and worked with other notable brands like Mercedes Benz and Chevrolet. Now he owns his own business and provides services to the companies that he worked for before and local automotive shops. Knowing the importance of education and the concern as a parent, Mr. Lezama joined the Elmsford School District as a Board member last year. Mr. Lezama would like to continue his hard work with the Board members in different areas and projects that still need to be completed. Mr. Lezama worked hard on our new budget to be transparent and responsible to our children and community, where all proposed repairs propositions are coming from capital improvement fund at no additional tax to our community. Also adding more teachers for a more robust curriculum and identifying funds for afterschool programs and different activities to contribute to our children's learning experience and success in the future.“A good education and safe environment are the best gift to our children”.
Justin Datino

Mr. Datino is a life-long Village of Elmsford / School district resident and father of two children approaching school age. He is a graduate of Alexander Hamilton High School. Since High School, Mr. Datino continued his education earning an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Westchester Community College, Bachelor of Political Science from SUNY Albany and a Master of Public Administration from Rockefeller College(SUNY Albany).Mr. Datino has since pursued a career in public service, holding various titles over the years in which he is responsible for the oversight and implementation of complex municipal operations, programs and delivery of services. The overarching emphasis of his work has been to ensure the organization operates in an efficient,effective and responsive manner.Mr. Datino brings to the district a wealth of knowledge and expertise in many areas relevant to the district,including budgeting, human resources, capital project management, and contract administration. In addition to his work, Mr. Datino has volunteered on various local Boards, committees and professional associations.Mr. Datino is dedicated to the success of all our students and in achieving that overarching goal he hopes to help to further improve the district’s annual budget process, expand AP course offerings, increase the ability forthe district to provide Special Education Services in-house, reducing the burden of increasing transportation costs and developing long-term plans to improve the district’s financial stability.If elected, Mr. Datino has pledged his best efforts to put students first and advance the district’s Mission of Dedication to Excellence, working to ensure the district provides a first-class educational experience to the district's students and unwavering accountability to district residents.Since being appointed to the Board of Education in August of 2023 Mr. Datino has worked with members of the Board and District staff to address a number of issues, including but not limited to the following:- Identifying and reallocating funds within the “contingency budget” to ensure all programs and services were fully funded despite the failed budget proposal;- Addressing safety concerns raised by parents regarding the activity in the high school bathrooms and lack of security;- Addressing concerns raised by the students regarding the quality and availability of food during all lunch periods;- Doubling funding for after school academic support in the 24/25 budget;- Participating in the recruitment and screening of several important positions (Interim Superintendent,Assistant Principal, Director of Facilities);- Initiating and advancing a public and transparent search for a permanent Superintendent;- Improving the transparency of the budget document to include prior year actual data as well as detail on revenue categories;- Advancing priority capital projects to address years of neglect and divestment in district facilities and infrastructure with reserve funds (no increase to the tax levy);- Preparing and presenting a responsible budget for 24/25, that adds teachers and resources for services with a tax levy increase of 1.76%, the third lowest in the County.
